Spiritual Warfare Part 2

¹¹Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹²For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

¹³Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

¹⁵And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

¹⁶Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of god:

Body of Christ, we must all understand one thing, that we are in a war. It is not just those who are in the Body that are in the war, but every human being that is on the face of the earth. There is a war going on. This war is bigger than any other conflict on our planet. The war I'm referring to is the spiritual warfare that is going on in every person's life. There is no escaping this war, you can't elude the draft to stay out of it and there are no free passes.

This war is for your soul. Let me make something real clear for everybody There are only two sides that man can choose to be on. You can be on the Lord's side, or not. Those are your options. There is no middle ground, no alternative, no substitute. Either you are for the Lord Jesus Christ or you are not. Each of us has a very real enemy in Satan and his desire is to kill, steal, and destroy. He has never meant anybody any good and he never will. It is his nature to lie, deceive, destroy, confuse, kill, and to just plain be evil. He has his kingdom of darkness set up to war against us. He wants your soul. Our soul is the only thing we have that really matters and that is what he wants. The enemy has evil angels that he commands called demons. They go about all over the earth and do his dirty work. These evil angels work against mankind. Their goal is total destruction and victory. No one escapes their attention and no goes under their radar. The enemy doesn't wait for you to become a strong adult in order to war against you, but the strategy against you begins at your birth. These evil forces don't just attack, but they plan and strategize a way to defeat you and make you a slave to Satan.

The Bible clearly declares that no man can serve two masters. You will have to be on one side or the other. The good news is that God has given each person the ability to choose to be a part of the Kingdom of God and have the authority over the enemy. Remember that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. We are told here in Ephesians to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We have no real strength to fight the enemy on our own, but we can be strong in the Lord and work in His power. His power can't be defeated or destroyed. We have sure victory in Jesus. God has given us the keys to defeating our enemy. Not only are we to be strong in the Lord, but we are also to put on our spiritual armour. If you are in a war, you need to wear the appropriate attire. If you go into war with a plastic weapon, you will be in serious trouble. Read Ephesians chapter six and take note of these powerful pieces of armour and the only offensive weapon that we need, the Word of God. Victory will be yours when you use this armour and weapon.

It is time for you as an individual to realize that there actually is something (a spirit) working against you. The fact that you have a real enemy is to be taken seriously. This battle is going on whether you think you are participating or not. By the mere fact that you may not want to believe it or admit it, let's me know that one of the most powerful spiritual weapons is at work and that is deception. Do not be deceived, the Word of the Living God is true. The real war is not physical, but spirtual. It will not be won with guns or bombs, but with the Word of God. Victories in physical wars and conflicts are only temporary. As soon as you win one battle, another begins to form. In our spiritual war, as long as we give our lives to Christ, be strong in His power, and use the spiritual armour He has given us, we are assured of victory in every battle, not just for now, but for all eternity.
